Friday 13thOctober saw our official launch, and the unveiling of this website. Although it is still early days, we also announced that we are working on a collaboration with SKCIN, to support them in their schools and outdoor workers accreditation programmes, and we were delighted to welcome their Business Development Manager, Marie Tudor, to the event as our guest.
As the photographs show, a buzz of happy conversation, backed by the beautiful sound of a string quartet, in the setting of a charming country house hotel, made the evening special.
The Trustees, Mazhar Ajaz, Martin Heffer, Paula Keyes, Kate Upshon and Pam Walls, are hugely grateful to everyone who attended and made the event such a success. Due to your generosity, we raised £3,100 towards skin cancer research. Our thanks to everyone who kindly donated some marvellous prizes for the raffle. We were also overwhelmed with the level of support for our initial list of potential future fundraising events, and will follow up on a number of your additional ideas.
