Evans Cycles Quiz Room

Evans Cycles Head Office in Gatwick hold an Annual Quiz for their staff, which often involves fancy dress.  This year was no different, except that they decided to hold it at Broadfield Football Stadium in Crawley, in honour of their colleague Richard Keyes who lost his fight against Malignant Melanoma in February.  In keeping with Richard’s cycling fashion sense the theme was “To Be Seen”.  The photos speak for themselves, with lots of neon being worn on a very fun night.

The quizmaster, Lee Mildon sporting a bright orange suit, put a lot of effort into the questions, and reached out to many celebrities for their help.  Video questions that were gratefully received as a result from celebrities, and ex members of staff, were interspersed between the usual question rounds.

As well as the quiz this year, Lee organised a public raffle, through his website and the draw took place on the quiz night, with all proceeds very kindly being donated to Story – FMR.

To promote the quiz Lee visited the BBC Sussex & Surrey Radio studio in Brighton to be interviewed by Allison Ferns on her afternoon radio show.  He then visited her again with Richard’s wife, Paula, to let her know how the event had gone.  Both interviews can be heard alongside this article.

We send our sincere appreciation to Lee and everyone at Evans Cycles.
